Will the gold fade or tarnish?
Each piece is a stainless steel base with an 18K gold finish, so it holds up better than brass or plated silver. Any plating can wear with friction and chemicals over time. To keep the shine longest, take it off for chlorine pools, perfume and lotion, wipe it dry and store it in the pouch.
Is it OK for sensitive ears?
The steel base is lead-free and posts are smooth and polished. We don't use the word "hypoallergenic" because metal sensitivity differs from person to person. If you usually react to metal earrings, try a few hours first.
What size are they?
Every listing gives the size in mm. As a guide: 8mm hugs the lobe closely or sits in a second or third hole, 15–17mm sits snug on the lobe, and 20–21mm hangs a little lower for an everyday hoop look.
Will the closures stay shut?
Huggies and hoops use a hinged click closure: press until you hear the click and it stays closed. Studs come with backs. Ear cuffs need no piercing; squeeze gently to fit.
